We've waited!!! The time has come!

Wednesday, March 6:

Bryan Perrin just got the word!
They have a heart match for him.
He'll be flying from Kentucky by medical jet to Mayo.
He needs to arrive in 5 hours.
Please pray!  Pray!  Pray!

Thursday morning, March 7:
They took Bryan back to surgery at 11 a.m.
He's in great spirits!
Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support.
We will continue to update as the day goes on.

 Thursday, March 7,
 bright skies ahead
for Bryan Perrin @ Mayo Clinic Hospital:

 Thursday, March 7,
Bryan's wife, Angela and friend, Patti,
wait and pray in faithful expectation
during Bryan's heart transplant @ Mayo Clinic Hospital:

Thursday, March 7,
They didn't actually start Bryan's heart transplant
until 3:30 p.m. today.
They waited until everything "was good to go".
The actual transplant may take up to 12 hours.

Thursday, March 7,
Bryan gets a new heart
before the day is over!!!

His wife Angela writes,
"Bryan has his new heart in,
everything is going good.
Doctors say it will be another 3 plus hours
more before he comes back to his room.
Praise the Almighty God
and all who have been praying.
Please continue to pray!"

Friday, March 8,
after midnight and yesterday's heart transplant:

Bryan's wife, Angela, writes:
"My last update for tonight.
Bryan is back in his room.
He looks good and sounds fabulous!
I would like to say,
Thank you, God, for always
being there and loving us at all times.
Thank you to the wonderful person and family
who made the choice
to help give my wonderful husband
the opportunity to continue to serve the LORD
with myself, our children, our family, and friends.
Thank you to everyone
who has continually prayed,
called, texted, and visited us during this time.
Thank you to our doctors, nurses,
and all other special medical teams
who have made this unique situation bearable.

I can't begin to express how I felt the moment
I got to see Bryan's chest rise up and down
with his new heart.  Then, I got to hear it
the first time.  This moment will be with me for
a lifetime of cherished memories.

This blessed gift isn't without heartache
for the ones who had to make
a life changing choice.
Knowing this makes this gift mean
so much more for our family.
So, once again, please continue to pray
for the family who gave so much
of the one they loved,
so we could have the one we love.
May God bless you all!"

April 3,
Update from Angela:
"Update on Bryan:
I’m sorry it’s been days since I updated,
but it has been super busy.
First, Bryan is doing great!
They released him from hospital Monday Evening.
We’re at Transplant House now.
They took out pic line,
but still are doing dialysis now
on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.
He is doing very well with dialysis.
However, our prayers are he will no longer need it.

Today they removed wound vac and plan to remove his staples on Friday.
He's still weak, but showing strength in every area.
What a Almighty God we have!
Without HIM we would be nothing.
God has truly Blessed us
far above what one could even ask for.
Thank you everyone for your love and prayers,
they are and have been shown
in answered prayers.
Please continue to pray for the Loving Family
who helped make this possible.
And please continue to pray for us as well.
We know this is just the beginning
of this journey we’re on.
May God Bless you all🙏
Hugs & Kisses." ❤️

April 11,
Update from Angela:
"Update: Bryan has come leaps and bounds.
He is making progress, getting stronger and
looking forward to going home
when the time comes.
He still has a long way to go.
Dialysis is on Tuesday, Thursday
Saturday’s 🙏🙏🙏
Praying things goes well this week and
he won’t have to do it anymore.
He had a another Heart Biopsy yesterday and
we got results today which were great.
Everything came back negative so no rejection,
no viruses, no fungus!

 Everything is looking good
(he has to have these every week
to make sure no rejection
along with the other things).
He is off the blood thinners now,
also the insulin he’s taking gets
lower and lower as he gets better and better
(hopefully he won’t have to continue taking it).

Anyway, the list is long
but knowing God is with us every step of the way,
as well as HIS followers,
our family and friends,
we know all will be as it should be.
Please continue to pray for us and
the family who shared their loved one with us,
as they are definitely having a hard time
during these days and the many days to come 🙏❤️🙏
So thankful for your love, calls, texts
& many many prayers.
We love you❤️❤️❤️
From our ❤️’s to yours!
We Pray for everlasting Love,
Peace, Comfort and God's Eternal Blessings."
 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

April 22,
Update from Angela:
"Praise be to God and all his Glory 🙏
(This will be a long post)
Bryan is improving. His kidneys are working again, meaning no more dialysis.
They were able to remove the dialysis port.
He had another heart biopsy and results came back negative meaning everything looks good.
Bryan still has a long road ahead of him to recover and a life long journey.
These are definitely great things that are happening,
however some may not know yet,
this last Tuesday Bryan was going to his physical therapy appointment
and his knee gave out on him.
So, now he is in a brace and not supposed to be on it for 2 weeks.
This means that physical therapy will be on hold until his knee is well.
I see new improvements everyday.
We are so blessed and thankful.
If there ever was anyone who thought Bryan was weak, they are sadly mistaken.
He is one of the strongest persons I know.
Not many people could have gone through what he has had to endure
and can still smile, and believe everything will be OK. I am so very proud of him.
Thank you everyone for your continuous prayers, calls, texts, and love.
But please remember the family who shared their loved one.

So, please continue your prayers, because Bryan is proof that they work.

Yesterday was the anniversary of my brother Derrick’s death.
Does not seem possible that it has been 32 years.
As hard as it is to know he is not with us,
I have peace knowing that God has his soul and
one last kind act before his death he wanted to donate his organs to help others.
I definitely understand both sides - those who donate and those who receive .
In either case, my heart hurts 💔
but God is good in HIS infinite wisdom and love.
May God Bless you and yours as I know HE has blessed ours."

May 1,

Things are going well!
Ongoing doctors appointments continue for Bryan.
Bryan and Angela have moved into an apartment here in Rochester.
Their children had been in Kentucky, staying with grandparents,
but have now joined their parents in Rochester.
Angela will be transporting the kids back to Kentucky for state school testing and 8th grade graduation.  Bryan will continue here with doctors appointments and recovery.

Finances are tight!  No income, except Medicaid!
There is hope for the future that Bryan and Angela can return to the workforce, but for now, they still have their house payment in Kentucky and rent in Rochester.
They could not have come this far without your gracious donations.
Please consider any small donation sent over the summer months
to help them keep their heads above water.
